It was fantastic! We loved everything, but my favorite was the soup. That spiced yogurt was the bomb!!” Daiva

“Dinner was delicious.  My favorite’s the tomato tart- so creamy and delicious.  Instructions are helpful too! Ruth

One of the positive things that’s happened in my life since the pandemic is the wonderful opportunity it has given me to create delicious creative meals every week and deliver them right to the doorsteps of new friends and old. My menus tend to veer toward hearty and filling with lots of Southern touches influenced by my home state of Louisiana. I start thinking about the week’s menus on Sunday at the Marin farmer’s market—-I’m usually there for inspiration. I head back on Thursday, with my shopping list in hand, to purchase what I need to start prepping the delivery dinners. I prepare most of the meals on Thursday with some items getting finishing touches on Friday morning before delivery starts at Noon.

The Marin Farmer’s Market is one of the largest in the area. It’s held in San Rafael next to the Marin Civic Center, a lovely building designed by master architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The market features farmers, ranchers and artisans of all kinds. The Thursday market is known as the chef’s market and although it features less vendors it’s where you find the absolute best the farms have to offer. I have a few favorites: Marin Roots Farm for edible flowers and the most delicious mix of wild lettuces. Star Route Farms, the oldest organic farm in marin, for carrots, radishes and kale and Fiddlers Green for the most delicious red onions you will ever eat.
